Vikings vs Goblins is a game for Android made by one developer, Andriy Migunov, in Canada. This page covers the game and this website (estryx.ca). Questions, or a request to see or delete your data: andriy@estryx.ca.
The game, during testing
- Your progress stays on your phone. Heroes, the town and every battle are saved on the device. We don’t receive them.
- No account, no ads, no purchases. The test builds don’t ask you to sign in, show no ads and sell nothing.
- Google Play handles the download and the list of testers, under Google’s privacy policy. We see the email address you joined the test with, and use it only to run the test.
- The Unity engine that runs the game may send Unity Technologies anonymous facts about the device (model, operating system, graphics chip) the first time the game starts, under Unity’s privacy policy.
- Surveys and feedback you choose to send are used to improve the game.
Before the open test
The open test adds a few things, and this page will be updated before it starts:
- an anonymous player id, with no name or email, so your progress can follow you to a new phone later;
- game events (days played, expeditions, heroes lost and how), to see whether the game is fair and fun;
- crash reports, to fix crashes;
- a record of each fight (the squads, the seed and a short summary, about 2 KB), to check that heroes are balanced. Fight records are deleted after 30 days.
These will be stored with Unity Gaming Services, and never sold or used for advertising.
This website
- The mailing list. If you sign up, your email address and the time you signed up are kept by our mailing-list service, Plunk, to send the confirmation and our news. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list.
- No cookies, no trackers, no visit logs. The site uses no analytics and sets no cookies, and the server keeps no record of visits.
Children
The game isn’t made for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect anything from them. If you think a child has sent us their data, write to us and we’ll delete it.
Your choices
Write to andriy@estryx.ca to ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted; we answer within 30 days. Uninstalling the game removes everything it saved on your phone.
Changes
When this policy changes, the date at the top changes too, and anything new is described here before the game collects it.
